Data files:
Mostly you’ll use these to work through examples
because it contains all of the
data files for all of the examples in the book (the
data for each chapter are contained
in a separate folder).
Answers to Smart
Alex tasks: Of the material on the CD-ROM, the most
important documents are the answers to the tasks at
the end of each chapter. For each task the document
contains the SPSS output and a brief explanation of
it so you can check your answers.
Additional
material: These are mainly advanced topics or topics
for which a detailed explanation in the main body of
the book would have been a distraction. However, in
case anyone wants to know more, there are descriptions
on the CD.
Appendix material:
Some of the appendix material (such as mathematical
calculations)
has also been put in files on the CD-ROM to save paper.
Programs:
Included is a copy of G*Power on the CD-ROM, which is
a useful program
for calculating power.
